Last updated: October 12, 2026. Draft, to be reviewed before release.
What it stores
- Amounts, categories, notes, dates and cash counts you enter.
- Your currency, starting amount, and reminder time.
How
No sign-up. The app creates an anonymous account on your device, with a random ID and no name, email or phone. Your data is saved under it in Google Firebase (Firestore). Other people can’t read it.
What we can see
The honest version: for now, what you enter is stored as readable text. It isn’t encrypted on your phone first. So we can technically open an account and see its entries and notes, and Google can be required to hand over stored data. We don’t look, and the account isn’t tied to your name or email.
Notes can contain names, so don’t write names or anything that identifies you in a note.
We plan to encrypt your data on your phone before it is saved, so that only you can read it. Until then, think of it as anonymous, not secret.
What we don’t do
- No ads. No selling data.
- No analytics or tracking. (Crash reports are separate, below, and optional.)
- No access to your bank, cards or contacts.
Tips and your answers
Tips link to sources. Tapping one opens your browser, and that site sees the visit. You can answer “Agree” or “Disagree”. Your answer is saved in your anonymous account and added to a public total. Nobody sees who answered what.
Keeping bots out
The app asks Apple (App Attest) or Google (Play Integrity) to confirm it’s the real app. It tells us the app is genuine. Not who you are.
Crash reports
Off unless you choose to share them. The welcome screen asks, and you can change it any time in Settings. If you share and the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Google Firebase Crashlytics: the technical error, your phone model, OS version, app version and a random install ID. We never add your entries, amounts or notes to a report. It’s only for fixing bugs. Debug builds send nothing.
Reminders and prices
The daily reminder is scheduled on your phone. Gold, silver, bitcoin and ethereum prices come from a shared daily list, not your device. Nothing about you is sent.
Check it yourself
The app’s code will be open source. Everything it reads and writes is there, along with the database rules. This page will link to it.
Your data
Export it, or delete it all from Settings, any time.
